Baby #6

Well, as you can see, life has kept me busy. We are now expecting baby #6. Our ultrasound is scheduled for next week, so I'll put up a picture soon. We are excited! This baby is due around Mar. 10, 2009. We are having a hard time with names. Guess we'll wait and see. : )

Nature Study

Charlotte Mason was big into children getting into the out-of-doors and studying & exploring nature- hence the term - nature study. This is something that was new to me, as I "played" outside as a child, but we didn't go into nature often, and certainly didn't study it. So it's something I've learned to incorporate into our homeschool.

We are very blessed to be near a wonderful wooded park, the beach, and our own 1/2 acre partially wooded property in the city.

This was a beautiful day in which the whole family went to our local wooded park and spent a few hours in nature. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Welcome

Welcome to The Paths of Wonder. This is my blog of our homeschooling adventures. This is my first time blogging and know NOTHING about it, but I enjoy trying new things, so I'll give it my best.

I am probably best described as an eclectic homeschooler. We love the Charlotte Mason Method and use that as our general philosophy. We love Five in a Row and Homeschool Share and use Sonlight (for now) for their great books.

I have 5 kids ages 16, 12, 6, 5, and 3, all homeschooled. This keeps me very busy!

I'm looking forward to sharing our Paths of Wonder - our homeschooling journey with you!
